Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook penne pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, toss sliced steak with Cajun seasoning until evenly coated.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak and sear for 2–3 minutes per side, or until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove from pan and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in the heavy cream. Simmer for 2–3 minutes, then add Parmesan cheese. Stir until melted and smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Return the cooked steak to the skillet along with the drained penne pasta. Toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan, then serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust Cajun seasoning to taste depending on your spice preference.
- Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter sauce.
- Can substitute steak with chicken or shrimp.
