Description

Silky, luxurious baked eggs swirled with creamy Boursin cheese and fresh herbs, perfect for a cozy brunch or elegant breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup Boursin Garlic & Fine Herbs Cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon unsalted butter (for greasing ramekins)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and place a large baking dish filled with hot water inside to create a water bath.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Whisk Boursin cheese and cream until smooth. Stir in salt and pepper.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Butter four ramekins and set on a clean surface.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Spoon 2 tablespoons of cheese mixture into each ramekin. Crack an egg into each, then top with another tablespoon of cheese mixture and optional chives.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Place ramekins in the water bath. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until whites are set and yolks remain soft.
  6. Finishing Touches: Carefully remove from oven, cool 1 minute, sprinkle with flaky salt or more chives.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Serve warm with crusty bread, toast, or roasted vegetables.

Notes

  • Bring eggs to room temperature before baking for even cooking.
  • Use a water bath to gently cook the eggs and avoid overbaking.
  • Experiment with herbs or soft veggies for variety.
  • Best enjoyed immediately, but can be stored up to 2 days in fridge.
