Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp orange zest (from 1–2 oranges)
- 2 tbsp fresh orange juice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in the white chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden. Centers will look soft but will set as they cool.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For more vibrant color, add a drop of orange food coloring (optional).
- Chill dough for 30 minutes before baking for puffier cookies.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
