Description

Chorizo fries combine crispy golden fries topped with spicy, savory chorizo sausage and melted cheese, making for a flavorful and indulgent snack or appetizer perfect for sharing.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups frozen French fries
  • 8 oz chorizo sausage, casing removed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the frozen fries according to package instructions until crispy and golden brown.
  2. While fries are cooking, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chorizo and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until fully cooked and browned, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Once fries are done, transfer them to a serving plate. Top evenly with cooked chorizo and shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Place under a broiler or in a hot oven (about 400°F/200°C) for 3–5 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and a dollop of sour cream, if desired.
