Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup glutinous rice flour
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 100 grams dark chocolate pieces
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
Instructions
- Prepare your steamer or microwave-safe dish so it is ready to use.
- In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and milk, then whisk until smooth and lump-free.
- Lightly grease a heat-safe dish and pour the mixture evenly into it.
- Cook the mixture by steaming or microwaving until it thickens into a soft dough.
- While still warm, mix in the unsalted butter until fully incorporated.
- Allow the dough to cool slightly, then divide it into equal portions.
- Flatten each portion, place a piece of dark chocolate in the center, and seal the dough around it carefully.
- Lightly dust each dumpling with cornstarch to prevent sticking.
- Serve warm for a gooey center or let cool for a firmer texture.
Notes
- Dust your hands and surface with cornstarch to prevent sticking.
- Do not overcook the dough to maintain a soft and chewy texture.
- Use high-quality dark chocolate for the best flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat gently before serving.
