- 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in diced strawberries and chocolate chips gently.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto the baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are golden and centers are set.
- Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Once cooled, drizzle with melted chocolate and let set before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh, firm strawberries and pat them dry before adding to the dough.
- Don’t overmix the dough to keep cookies soft and tender.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
