- 4 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1–2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped bell peppers (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter (softened)
- 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat a skillet on medium.
- In a bowl, mix cheese, green chilies, onions, bell peppers, chili flakes, black pepper, and a pinch of salt.
- Lightly butter each bread slice on one side.
- Spread the cheese mixture evenly on the unbuttered side of each slice.
- Place slices on a baking tray and bake for 8–10 minutes or until cheese is melted and slightly golden. Alternatively, toast in a covered skillet over low heat.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve hot and crispy.

- Adjust the number of chilies based on your spice tolerance.
