Description

Chili Cheese Toast is a quick and flavorful snack made with bread slices topped with a spicy cheese mixture, then baked or toasted to crispy, melty perfection. It’s ideal for breakfast, evening snacks, or party appetizers.


Ingredients

  • 4 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 12 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped bell peppers (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (softened)
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) or heat a skillet on medium.
  2. In a bowl, mix cheese, green chilies, onions, bell peppers, chili flakes, black pepper, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Lightly butter each bread slice on one side.
  4. Spread the cheese mixture evenly on the unbuttered side of each slice.
  5. Place slices on a baking tray and bake for 8–10 minutes or until cheese is melted and slightly golden. Alternatively, toast in a covered skillet over low heat.
  6. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve hot and crispy.
