- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Cooked pasta or crusty bread, for serving
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits. Simmer for 3-4 minutes to reduce slightly.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and sauce is creamy.
- Return chicken to skillet and spoon sauce over it. Cook for another 2 minutes to warm through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve over pasta or with crusty bread.
Notes
- Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
- Serve with linguine or spaghetti for a complete meal.
- For extra heat, add red pepper flakes when sautéing garlic.
