Description
These Chicken Parmesan Sliders are a crispy, cheesy, and saucy twist on the classic Italian favorite—perfectly baked and tucked into soft slider buns for a fun, handheld bite.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 slider buns
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken cutlets
- 1 cup dry breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
- 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- A handful of fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a nonstick mat.
- In one bowl, beat the eggs. In another, mix the breadcrumbs, parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken piece into the egg, then coat in the breadcrumb mixture. Place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake chicken for 15 to 18 minutes until golden and cooked through. Warm marinara in a small saucepan. Slice slider buns if needed.
- On a baking dish, lay the bottom buns. Place chicken pieces on each, spoon marinara sauce over, sprinkle mozzarella, and top with basil. Cover with top buns.
- Lightly brush buns with olive oil. Bake assembled sliders for another 5 to 7 minutes until cheese melts and buns toast slightly.
- Let them sit for 3 to 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm and enjoy.
Notes
- Toast your slider buns before assembling to avoid sogginess.
- You can prep the chicken ahead of time and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
- For extra melty sliders, add a layer of cheese under and over the chicken.
