Description

These Chicken Parmesan Sliders are a crispy, cheesy, and saucy twist on the classic Italian favorite—perfectly baked and tucked into soft slider buns for a fun, handheld bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken cutlets
  • 1 cup dry breadcrumbs (preferably panko)
  • 1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • A handful of fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a nonstick mat.
  2. In one bowl, beat the eggs. In another, mix the breadcrumbs, parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Dip each chicken piece into the egg, then coat in the breadcrumb mixture. Place them evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake chicken for 15 to 18 minutes until golden and cooked through. Warm marinara in a small saucepan. Slice slider buns if needed.
  5. On a baking dish, lay the bottom buns. Place chicken pieces on each, spoon marinara sauce over, sprinkle mozzarella, and top with basil. Cover with top buns.
  6. Lightly brush buns with olive oil. Bake assembled sliders for another 5 to 7 minutes until cheese melts and buns toast slightly.
  7. Let them sit for 3 to 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Toast your slider buns before assembling to avoid sogginess.
  • You can prep the chicken ahead of time and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
  • For extra melty sliders, add a layer of cheese under and over the chicken.
