Chicken Garlic Parmesan Pasta is a creamy and flavorful pasta dish featuring tender chicken, sautéed garlic, fresh spinach, and a rich Parmesan cream sauce tossed with fettuccine. Perfect for a comforting weeknight dinner.

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 3/4 teaspoon salt, divided
- 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cups packed spinach, chopped
- 1 lb fettuccine
- 1/2 – 3/4 cup reserved pasta water, if needed
- 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with 1/2 teaspoon salt. Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook chicken for 5-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and slice.
- In the same skillet, add remaining 1 tablespoon olive oil. Sauté onion until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add garlic and red pepper flakes, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Deglaze the pan with white wine, scraping up any browned bits. Allow wine to reduce slightly.
- Stir in heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Add chopped spinach and cook until wilted.
- Cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Reserve 1/2 – 3/4 cup pasta water and drain.
- Toss pasta with sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach desired consistency. Add sliced chicken on top.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and additional Parmesan if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
- Adjust red pepper flakes to taste for more or less heat.
- Reserved pasta water helps to loosen the sauce and coat the pasta evenly.
- Can substitute fettuccine with linguine, spaghetti, or any preferred pasta.
