- 1 small apple, peeled and grated
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon ground sage
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, grated apple, chopped onion, sage, salt, pepper, cinnamon, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined—do not overmix.
- Form mixture into small patties, about 2 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook patties in batches, 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F / 74°C).
- Remove from pan and drain on paper towels if needed. Serve warm.
