Description

Ingredients

  • 1 small apple, peeled and grated
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, grated apple, chopped onion, sage, salt, pepper, cinnamon, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined—do not overmix.
  2. Form mixture into small patties, about 2 inches wide and 1/2 inch thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook patties in batches, 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F / 74°C).
