Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 pounds chicken breast tenders or strips
- 4 cups crushed Cheetos (Flamin’ Hot or regular, depending on preference)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray or oil for baking (or oil for frying)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C) if frying.
- Place crushed Cheetos in a shallow bowl. In another bowl, mix flour with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In a third bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.
- Coat each chicken strip in flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with crushed Cheetos, pressing gently to adhere.
- Place coated strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly spray with cooking spray if baking.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and coating is crispy. If frying, cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
- Remove and let cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- Use Flamin’ Hot Cheetos for a spicy version or regular for a milder option.
- Crush Cheetos in a food processor for a fine, even crumb.
- Serve with ranch, honey mustard, or spicy mayo for dipping.
- Leftovers can be reheated in the oven to maintain crispiness.
