Description

Cheetos Chicken Strips are crispy, cheesy, and packed with bold flavor thanks to a crunchy Cheetos coating. This fun twist on classic chicken tenders is perfect for game day snacks, kid-friendly meals, or anyone who loves a spicy, crunchy bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken breast tenders or strips
  • 4 cups crushed Cheetos (Flamin’ Hot or regular, depending on preference)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or oil for baking (or oil for frying)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C) if frying.
  2. Place crushed Cheetos in a shallow bowl. In another bowl, mix flour with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. In a third bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.
  3. Coat each chicken strip in flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with crushed Cheetos, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Place coated strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Lightly spray with cooking spray if baking.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and coating is crispy. If frying, cook for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and crispy.
  6. Remove and let cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Use Flamin’ Hot Cheetos for a spicy version or regular for a milder option.
  • Crush Cheetos in a food processor for a fine, even crumb.
  • Serve with ranch, honey mustard, or spicy mayo for dipping.
  • Leftovers can be reheated in the oven to maintain crispiness.
