Description

A melty, flavor-packed fusion of Indian chicken tikka and cheesy garlic naan, this folded wrap is perfect for quick dinners or casual entertaining. Juicy marinated chicken, creamy garlic yogurt sauce, and fresh herbs wrapped in warm naan make every bite unforgettable.


Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 naan breads
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • Handful of fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Few lettuce leaves
  • 1/2 cup garlic yogurt sauce (yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, garlic, ginger, lemon juice, garam masala, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until fully cooked and slightly charred. Slice once done.
  3. Lay naan on a flat surface. On one half, sprinkle mozzarella, then layer chicken slices, red onion, cilantro, lettuce, and drizzle garlic yogurt sauce.
  4. Fold the naan in half and place it on a hot skillet. Press lightly and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and the cheese has melted.
  5. Remove, slice if desired, drizzle extra sauce, and serve hot.

Notes

  • Marinate chicken overnight for maximum flavor.
  • Cover the skillet while cooking to help melt the cheese faster.
  • Use soft, warm naan to avoid cracking while folding.
