- 400 grams rigatoni pasta
- 500 milliliters tomato sauce
- 250 grams shredded mozzarella cheese
- 50 grams grated parmesan cheese
- 200 grams ricotta cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- a handful fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C and bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Cook the rigatoni until slightly underdone, then drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet, sauté onion until soft, then add garlic and cook briefly before adding tomato sauce, salt, and pepper.
- In a large bowl, mix pasta with sauce and ricotta, then transfer to a baking dish and top with mozzarella and parmesan.
- Bake for 25 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
- Sprinkle fresh basil on top and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Serve warm and enjoy.

- Slightly undercook the pasta before baking
