- 2 cans (12.4 oz each) refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
- 1 can (21 oz) apple pie filling
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus more for drizzling)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cut each cinnamon roll into quarters and scatter half of them evenly in the bottom of the dish.
- Spread the apple pie filling evenly over the cinnamon rolls.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the apples and sprinkle with cinnamon (if using).
- Add the remaining cinnamon roll pieces on top, pressing down lightly.
- Sprinkle with nuts if using.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until cinnamon rolls are golden and cooked through.
- Remove from oven and drizzle with included icing and extra caramel sauce.
- Serve warm as is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
- Make it even more indulgent by using salted caramel sauce.
- To reduce sweetness, use low sugar or homemade apple pie filling.
- This dessert is best served warm and fresh but can be reheated in the microwave.
