- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and granulated sugar until combined.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, folding until just combined.
- Pour brownie batter into the prepared pie dish and spread evenly.
- In another bowl, mix corn syrup, brown sugar, and melted butter for pecan topping.
- Sprinkle pecan halves evenly over the brownie batter.
- Pour pecan topping mixture carefully over the pecans and batter.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until the topping is set and a toothpick inserted into the brownie layer comes out mostly clean.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use good-quality cocoa powder for a richer chocolate flavor.
- Let the pie cool completely to allow the layers to set properly.
