Description
Tender beef bites slowly simmered in a rich garlic butter sauce, perfect for a comforting and flavorful meal any day of the week.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 pounds beef chuck or sirloin, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Season beef cubes with salt and pepper. Add olive oil to the hot pan, then sear beef in batches until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, lower heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Return seared beef to the pan and toss to coat in the garlic butter mixture.
- Lower heat, cover, and let simmer gently for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add a splash of water or broth if the sauce reduces too much.
- Uncover, increase heat slightly to thicken the sauce, and stir in chopped parsley.
- Spoon over mashed potatoes, rice, or crusty bread and serve hot.
Notes
- Use a marbled cut like chuck for extra tenderness.
- Fresh garlic and real butter give the richest flavor.
- This dish tastes even better the next day, so it’s great for meal prep.
