Warm, creamy, and irresistibly cheesy, this baked brie in a crusty bread bowl is the ultimate crowd-pleasing appetizer. With golden edges, gooey brie, and a drizzle of honey, it’s perfect for gatherings or cozy nights in.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large round sourdough bread loaf (about 8 inches wide)
- 1 wheel of brie cheese (8 ounces)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a small baking sheet with parchment or foil.
- In a small bowl, mix olive oil, minced garlic, rosemary, and salt. Set aside.
- Cut the top off the bread loaf and hollow out the center to fit the brie snugly.
- Place the brie inside the bread bowl. Score the top rind with an X and drizzle half the honey over it.
- Brush the bread edges with the garlic rosemary oil.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until the brie is melted and the bread is golden. Tent with foil if browning too quickly.
- Drizzle remaining honey on top and garnish with extra rosemary if desired.
- Serve warm with the bread top cut into pieces for dipping.
Notes
- Let the brie sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before baking for even melting.
- Use parchment to lift the bread easily from the baking tray.
- Add sliced apples, crackers, or roasted veggies for serving variety.
