Ingredients

- 1/4 cup fresh turmeric root, peeled and chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh ginger root, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- Add turmeric, ginger, lemon juice, honey or maple syrup, black pepper, and water to a high-speed blender. Blend until smooth.
- If desired, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth for a smoother texture.
- Pour the mixture into silicone ice cube trays, filling each section evenly.
- Freeze for at least 3 to 4 hours or until solid.
- Once frozen, transfer cubes to an airtight container or zip-top bag and store in the freezer.
- Use as needed by dropping into tea, water, smoothies, or soups.

- Shake or stir mixture before pouring to avoid spice settling.
