Description
These 5-ingredient strawberry shortcake bites are quick, bite-sized treats with layers of sweet biscuit, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream — perfect for parties or a light dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup diced fresh strawberries
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 small biscuits)
- 1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven according to the biscuit package instructions. Bake the biscuits until golden brown, then let cool completely.
- In a small bowl, combine diced strawberries and sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes to macerate.
- Split each biscuit in half horizontally to create a top and bottom.
- Top the bottom half of each biscuit with a spoonful of whipped cream and strawberries. Add a small dollop of whipped cream on the top half and place it over the strawberries to create a bite-sized sandwich.
- Serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
- Use homemade whipped cream for a richer flavor, adding vanilla for extra depth.
- These bites are best assembled just before serving to avoid soggy biscuits.
- You can substitute biscuits with pound cake or shortbread cookies for variation.
