Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 lb breakfast sausage
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4 large eggs
- 2 tbsp milk (for scrambled eggs)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions (optional)
- Butter or oil for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet or pizza pan.
- Unroll crescent dough and press into the pan, sealing seams to form a single crust. Bake for 8 minutes until lightly golden.
- Meanwhile, in a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and crumbled. Do not drain.
- Sprinkle flour over sausage and cook for 1 minute. Gradually stir in milk and cook until thickened, 3–5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a separate pan, whisk eggs with 2 tbsp milk, then scramble until just set.
- Remove crust from oven. Spread sausage gravy evenly over crust, then layer with scrambled eggs and shredded cheese.
- Return to oven and bake for another 8–10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Top with green onions if desired. Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Use spicy sausage for added kick.
- Swap cheddar with Monterey Jack or pepper jack for flavor variation.
- Make it meatless by using vegetarian sausage crumbles.
- Leftovers store well in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat easily.
