Description

This 15-Minute Chicken Cordon Bleu Pasta is a creamy, cheesy, and comforting dish inspired by the classic chicken cordon bleu. It combines tender chicken, savory ham, Swiss and mozzarella cheese, and a rich cream sauce tossed with rotini pasta for a quick and satisfying weeknight dinner.

  • 2 cups cooked chicken breast strips, cut smaller if desired
  • 1 cup cooked cubed ham
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 14 oz Barilla Ready Pasta Rotini (2 bags)
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs, any flavor
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice, or to taste (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the cooked chicken and ham, stirring until heated through, about 2–3 minutes.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Add the ready pasta directly into the skillet, tossing to coat with the sauce.
  5. Stir in Swiss cheese and mozzarella until melted and creamy.
  6. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top and let cook for 1–2 minutes until lightly toasted.
  7. Finish with lemon juice (if using) and garnish with chopped parsley.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy immediately.

  • Barilla Ready Pasta saves time, but you can substitute cooked rotini if preferred.
